The exterior is a light wafer shell with a fish print on both sides (though the obverse is upside down relative to whichever side you are looking at so it’s not like how a real fish would be). The interior is a milk chocolate filling full of little air pockets that give it a nice airy texture while also helping to make the chocolate a little less rich and thick than if it would have been if it were a paste or cream. The end result is a very light, ever-so-slightly-sweet chocolate cookie that reminds me of the really cheap wafer cookies from Keebler that I used to have growing up, which made the whole experience of eating these very nostalgic.
