I typically like my drinks chilled so I popped this in the refrigerator before trying it out. Given other people's comments about this being fairly plain, I was expecting a very smooth and subtle green tea flavor (read: barely flavored water). Instead I got a pretty potent taste - true to its description of being "rich," I found there to be a strong burnt-barley undertone to the taste, sort of like when you leave a tea bag in for too long, which for me at least made it unpleasant. Now I could certainly see some people liking this taste so I don't mean to claim it was truly horrendous, but it was definitely not my cup of tea (pun intended).
