These tomato gummies are exactly what I look for when trying out new Japanese snacks – bold and unexpected flavor choices done to perfection. Although many people forget that tomatoes are technically fruits, these tomato fruit gummies do a great job of bringing out the unique flavor of tomato in a sweetened form. Although all things consider I found the flavor on these are fairly subdued – think eating a slice of vine ripened tomato rather than ketchup or tomato sauce – I did find that the sugary coating on them gave a pleasant depth to the flavor.
