These potato rings are a bit thicker than traditional potato chips and as rings they have a bit harder of a bite to them (by that I mean if you have very sensitive teeth you might find these chips uncomfortable to bite through but otherwise they are similar to Fritos). The texture is otherwise fairly plain, but a nice feature is that they are not particularly greasy to hold in your hand.

As for the taste, there isn't really much to them at first as they have about as much flavor as a white potato, but there is a distinctive aftertaste of butter that to me tastes fairly artificial and so is less than savory.
