It's plain white on the back. I realized it was a Japanese large after I received it, which fits like a US medium. So for now, it's a pretty perfect fit. I don't like to spend more than $20 on a t-shirt, but the energy I felt from the image compelled me to buy it. If it doesn't shrink much after a wash, then it'll be worth it.
