I'm a dude that is 5'9, pretty lean/thin build so I bought a size M thinking it'd be fine. Considering that when it comes to Western sizes an M would be a little large on me but still fit just enough I went with it. I like the material and fit in general, but just barely. I'm kind of afraid to wash and dry it now considering the fact that it might shrink to an un-wearable size. My advice, always buy a size up when it comes to Eastern measurements.
