Getter Robo used anime magic to morph and combine, so it takes some serious engineering to make it happen in toy form. Aside from the very expensive Studio Halfeye versions, there are a few varieties released by FREEing, in a slightly chibi form (without the big head). This one is from the New Getter Robo anime released back in 2004. The combinations and transformations of the 3 Getter machines into the 3 different Getter Robo forms is quite impressive, although bit finicky. The first time might be particularly frustrating.
