Sailor Moon, is a Magical Girl shoujo manga and anime series that was popular in the 90’s. Created by Nakao Takeuchi herself, the series follows a middle school student named Usagi Tsukino and her adventures as Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon, along with the other Sailor Scouts, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter, defend the Earth from evil. Sailor Moon has been close to many fans' hearts over the past 20 years. The influence of Sailor Moon’s sparkly and floral motifs have become a standard of shoujo anime and manga. The popularity of the series has led to the creation of a variety of Sailor Moon merchandise, figures, cosplay and toys. Proplica Sailor Moon Moon Stick
One of the first items fans of Sailor Moon are introduced to in the series, the Moon Stick was used by Sailor Moon to use her Moon Healing Escalation Attack. Sailor Moon Suncatchers

Proplica Crystal Star
The Crystal Star is the second magical item that allows Usagi to transform into Sailor Moon and is perfectly recreated in this replica made by Bandai. This item allows fans the chance to reenact Sailor Moon’s iconic transformation in the comfort of their homes. On the outside of the pink compact, there are gems with colors that represent the other Sailor Guardians that are set around the star shape of the compact. When opened, there is a replica of Sailor Moon crystal that can be seen surrounded by star and ribbon motifs. The toy comes complete with LED lights, music and sound effects to truly immerse fans in the transformation.

About the Characters
The Sailor Moon series follows the adventure of Usagi Tsukino, the Earthly incarnation of the princess of the Moon Kingdom, Princess Serenity. Usagi’s full name means, “Rabbit of the Moon” in Japanese. The idea is taken from the Japanese folktale about a rabbit residing on the moon. Sailor Moon’s iconic outfit consists of a blue sailor skirt, red boots, a white leotard, and gloves. She also wears her signature pigtails throughout the series. While Usagi’s demeanor is bratty and selfish overall, as the series progresses, fans can watch her mature into a capable woman warrior. Together with the Sailor Guardians such as Sailor Venus, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter, she fights and protects the Earth from the forces of evil.
“Sailor Senshi” is the Japanese term for Sailor Guardians. In the DiC English adaptation of the series, the term “Sailor Scout” was used instead. Before the girls’ transformation, they are just ordinary girls who go to school. During their transformations, they each have the symbol of their respective planet shown on their forehead. - Sailor Venus has long blonde hair and originally lived in London. She refers to herself as the ‘Goddess of Love’. Her civilian identity is Minako Aino.
- Sailor Mars has long black hair. Her initial power is “Fire Soul” and her civilian identity is Rei Hino.
- Sailor Mercury has short blue hair. She is rather intelligent and has powers based on water and ice. Her civilian identity is Ami Mizuno.
- Sailor Jupiter is tall and has brown wavy hair. Her specialty is her physical strength, as she practices intense karate. Her civilian identity is Makoto Kino.
