To commemorate the broadcast in Japan of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) anime to begin broadcasting on April 4 (Fri.), a free-to-attend party will be held at Omotesando Hills, Tokyo on March 30 (Sun.).
Various festivities are planned for the party, including an introduction to the anime, a limited display of related goods and collaboration products, and cosplayers dressed as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles whom attendees can take photos with.
The collaboration music video of the anime’s opening theme “Shinobu” by the popular Japanese musician GReeeeN will also be screened. Because this video is premiering at the event before anywhere else, it is likely to be a big highlight.
The event is free to attend, and the first 300 to arrive will receive a not-for-sale TMNT original T-shirt that is limited to the event. It’s going to be a huge party, so whether you’re a TMNT fan, a GReeeeN fan, or are just intrigued by what you’ve read, definitely try to attend if you can.
TMNT began as an American comic published in 1984. Even in Japan, the series has become a big hit in several areas of media including anime, movies, and games, and it is broadly well known. This new anime, which is already broadcasting in many parts of the world, was created in full CG and displays shining presentation and production values that are only possible thanks to current technology.
