Synopsis

Since ancient times, the Japanese economy has been secretly fueled by “Killing Bites” battles that pit “Brutes,” animal-human hybrids, against one another. One such brute is Hitomi, a fearless honey badger hybrid, who is kidnaped by acquaintances of college student Nomoto Yuuya. He thought they would be respectfully trying to pick up girls on a drive one day, but it turned out they were forcing them to comply. Hitomi killed all of them except Yuuya who she is now staying with for his own protection.

Background

Written by Shinya Murata and illustrated by Kazasa Sumita, Killing Bites began as a Japanese manga series serialized since November 2013 in Monthly Hero’s, a seinen manga magazine published by Shogakukan. As of March 2018, there are 10 tankobon volumes. An anime adaptation produced by Liden Films and directed by Yasuto Nishikata premiered in January 2018 on the Animeism block on MBS. It is available for international streaming on Amazon.
