Summary

Magic is a complex voice command based system that first appeared in ALfheim Online and allows players to cast spells to achieve various goals such as healing allies or hurling fireballs at the hapless enemy.

Note: Not all spells have a Japanese name, and many that do are just katakana that transliterates the words as spoken in English. The spells that do not have such a name are unofficially titled.

|Fenrir Storm | フェンリルストーム | Wind | The player's weapon is infused with a bolt of green penetrating lightning. It activates upon contact with a target. The stored lightning sparkles around the weapon.|
|Fireball | | Fire | The player fires off a flaming sphere that deals fire damage.|
|Fire Spear | | Fire | Creates three fast-moving lines of fire.|
|Gravity Magic | | | Changes the force of gravity in an area of effect. RECT Progress planned to add the spell in a future update to the game.|
|Healing Magic | | Water | A group of unnamed healing spells.|
|Hit Point Buff Magic | | | A temporary hit point buff that is bestowed on the caster's party.|
|Hypnosis | | Illusion | The caster is able to take control of a single NPC. The affected NPC has a specific visual effect.|
|Ice Arrows | | Water | Hurls four direct-fire sharp ice pillars at a single target.|
|Ice Lens | | Water | Creates a lens of ice that can be used to increase the sight range of a player.|

|Melody of Aggression | | Sound | This spell affects a single NPC and causes them to randomly attack anything in its range.|
|Melody of Confusion | | Sound | Causes a single NPC to become confused.|
|Metamorphosis | | Illusion | The player is transformed into a random monster based on their skills. However, this normally results in a weaker monster which limits its use in combat scenarios.|
|Moonlight Mirror | 月光鏡 | Darkness | This high level spell creates a two way communication mirror that allows two players to keep in contact across distances. The duration of the spell varies depending on the time of the day where it lasts for the longest amount of time during the night.|
|Moonshade Lurk | 月影潜み | Illusion | The caster is able to hide themselves while in the shade of the moon.|
|Night Vision | ナイトビション | Illusion | Gives a player the ability to see in the dark.|
|Peeping | 盗み見 | Darkness | The player summons and is linked to a familiar that allows them to see from the familiar's perspective. A debuff icon appears on the target's HUD for a second upon activation, but it is easy to miss.|
|Purified Surface | ピュリファイド・サーフェス | Water | Creates a water surface around ten meters in diameter which heals the players standing in it over time and provides fire and poison resistance.|
|Retrieve Arrow | リトリーブ・アロー | | A bow-user exclusive spell. Allows the archer to shoot the magic thread attached to an arrow that grabs the target on contact and pulls it toward the archer. The thread makes the arrow, so homing is not available.|
|Revive | | Water | Resurrects a player from their Remain Light during the timeout.|
|Sacrifice | | Darkness | A high-level spell. In exchange for killing the caster, deals a large amount of damage in a large radius. Dying via this spell incurs a larger penalty than normal death.|
|Searcher | サーチャー | Various | Multiple creatures like fire lizards or fish are spawned at the caster which spread out randomly. If the creatures come in contact with a hidden player, the camouflage spell is cancelled.|
|Smokescreen | | Illusion | Creates streams of black smoke that covers a wide area, concealing everything on it.|
|Strength Buff Magic | | | Grants the entire party of the caster a temporary strength buff.|
|Thunder Web | 封雷網 | Wind | Sends electric discharges into the target's body, sealing their movement.|
|Tracing Searcher | トレーシング・サーチャー | Various | The caster summons a small familiar that follows a target and reports back to the caster on their position. The type of creature that is summoned depends on the race of the summoner and the caster is notified if the familiar is destroyed.|
|Vacuum Blades | | Wind | Creates four or five homing boomerang-like bladed projectiles of green light.|
|Water Breathing | ウォーター・ブレシング | Water | This spell allows players to breathe while underwater.|
|Wind Needles | | Wind | This spell launches a multitude of shining emerald needles.|

Fumble

The Spellword Fumble Effect happens when an incantation is interrupted or mispronounced. It is a large explosion that damages the caster and produces black smoke.
