Sanrio Character Ranking 2016 is Now Open for Voting!

This year marks the 31st Sanrio Character Ranking, a fan-voted popularity contest pitting the most kawaii Sanrio characters against one another. In the past, we used to see the crowd favorites Hello Kitty and My Melody dominate the charts. However, in last year's 30th Sanrio Character Ranking, the results surprised the fandom. Last year's champion was Pompompurin, followed by visual-kei rock band Shingan Crimsonz from the anime Show by Rock!! while Cinnamonroll finished third.

Voting for this year's Sanrio Character Ranking has just begun on Sunday, April 10th at 10:00AM Japan Standard Time and will close on June 19th 11:59PM also in the same timezone. You can vote once a day for your favorite character from a computer, smartphone and tablet. Results will be announced on July 2nd. Click here to vote!
