Shibuyakku Deculture, an event featuring content from the popular anime series Macross, started on Feb. 6 at Shibuya Parco, a fashion building located in Tokyo. It centers around Macross: The Museum Ver. 2.0, an exhibition displayed on the third floor of Shibuya Parco Part 1, and puts it together with events previously held throughout Japan such as Gourmet Macross (tentative) and Oshare Macross (Fashionable Macross), creating the biggest Macross event for fans to enjoy.
This event is the scaled-up version of the exhibition titled Macross: The Museum, previously held in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture and Ishimaki, Miyazaki Prefecture. It features a 1/1 scale replica of a VF-S1 cockpit and life-sized figures of Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee from Macross Frontier among others. The event held in Parco will also display special collaboration products, such as fashion and food items.
Oshare Macross offers design clothing born from the collaboration of Macross and fashion brands, namely dresses and tights, each of which comes with a bromide as a present.
Gourmet Macross (tentative) will be available at all three of Shibuya Parco’s permanent restaurants. They have prepared delicacies such as the ramen themed on Ranka, one of the two heroines of Macross Frontier, and the gorgeous-looking parfait made in the image of Sheryl Nome.
Shibuyakku Deculture will be held in Shibuya Parco until Feb. 23.
