The TV anime *Akame ga Kill!* rushed into its second season at the beginning of October. The anime is an adaptation of the manga of the same name written by Takahiro and illustrated by Tetsuya Tashiro. The series depicts the activities of the assassination squad Night Raid which stands up to destroy the evil in the decayed capital.
Last year, Shooting Bar EA successfully held a collaboration to celebrate the 15th anniversary of *Resident Evil*. This year, they are collaborating with unique zombie characters from Japan!
The Japanese pop culture festival Moshi Moshi Nippon Festival 2014, sponsored by Moshi Moshi Nippon Project, an initiative aiming to deliver Japanese pop culture to the world, was held on Sept. 18 at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. More than 15.000 people from abroad attended the event.
The TV anime *One Week Friends* broadcast from April to June 2014 and became popular for its heart-wrenching story. On Sept. 28, a special event for the series was held at which the main cast appeared on stage together including Yoshitaka Yamaya and Sora Amamiya.
A large-scale event concepted around the online illustration community Pixiv is coming to Roppongi, Tokyo. For one month from Oct. 25 to Nov. 24, the Pixiv Festival will be held at the Roppongi Hills Viewing Platform at the Tokyo City View Gallery.
J-World Tokyo in Ikebukuro is hugely popular for being a theme park in which guests can play in the world of *Weekly Shonen Jump* (Shueisha). The seasonal events are also popular, and this fall a Halloween event will be held.
A *Cardcaptor Sakura* original art exhibit, a project to introduce the world of creative unit Clamp’s representative work *Cardcaptor Sakura*, will be held from the end of 2014 to into 2015.
International sensation Hatsune Miku, the virtual idol at the forefront of Crypton Future Media’s vocaloid software, will make her American television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman on CBS on October 8.
