The release date for the film Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade has been announced as being Oct. 9, 2015. The initial opening will be a limited showing of two weeks, with distribution by Toho Visual Entertainment. This is an announcement that has been long-awaited by fans. Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade began as a short animation created as a training project for animators. Support from crowdfunding was used to produce the sequel. With $625,518 (around 74 million yen) gained from this cooperation, this project has grown rather big.
Along with the release date, a trailer and visuals, as well as the theme song and artist information were also announced. In the trailer, Akko and the gang are creating a lot of racket as usual, and three new characters in addition to the parade, which is key to the story, were shown.
