In the road race anime Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road the interhigh is half over and the fight is getting more and more intense in the mountains of Hakone. Various collaborations are currently underway and tons of items are being released, among them the long-awaited “Keychain Plushies”!
The first lineup contains two sets of characters from Sohoku High: Naruko and Imaizumi, and Onoda and Makishima. The characters have a chibi form, and the plump, cute plushies are each wearing a yellow Sohoku jersey. The Makishima plushie especially is spot on!
The plushies have a height of approximately 130 millimeters, and their ball chain makes them easy to attach to bags.
The jersey is also removeable.
Advance sales of the plushies began on Jan. 9 on the official TMS shopping site, TMS Shop, and pre-orders are set to begin at retail shops nationwide in Japan and domestic online shops. Part 2 of this series will include Hakone Academy’s Sangaku, Todo, Arakita, and Shinkai. The wait until their early March 2015 release is unbearable!
Pre-orders have also begun for Part 2 of the “Hasameru Magnet” series of T-shirt-shaped magnetic clips. The lineup this time makes use of exclusive illustrations of chibi characters dressed in their school uniforms. One side has a character’s school uniform or racing uniform, while the other side shows the character in a cute design. Both sides are also magnetic, so they can be used as magnets or clips.
The lineup this time includes Shohoku’s Teshima and Aoyagi, and there’s even a design of Kyoto Fushimi’s Midosuji as a young boy! Each box includes 12 magnets.
Also releasing is a new brand from Movic called FabMas (short for Fabric Mascot Collection). FabMas are big, colorful mascots made of felt. Because of their cloth material, they are lightweight and fluffy to the touch. With this new series it’s also possible to create an original customized FabMas by sewing them together!
The Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road FabMas are felt shaped in the image of bicycle gear on which is artwork of chibi members of Sohoku High and Hakone Academy, along with Midosuji. There are 12 total to collect. They will release on Feb. 12 at all Animate locations and on Animate Online Shop.
Various other FabMas lineups are in the works, so look forward to more to come!
