The TV anime Re: Hamatora will begin broadcasting on TV Tokyo and other networks on July 7. Information on the anime’s theme songs and a new promotional video have now been released. The opening theme is “Sen no Tsubasa” by livetune adding Takuro Sugawara (from 9mm Parabellum Bullet), and chosen for the ending theme is “Brave New World” by Ayami who played Chiyū in the previous anime.
The lyrics, composition, and arrangement of “Sen no Tsubasa” are being handled by kz who continues his work on the series. The vocalist for the song is Takurō Sugawara from the four-person band 9mm Parabellum Bullet which formed 10 years ago this year. Also making a special appearance on the track is the band’s guitarist Yoshimitsu Taki. The result is livetune breaking new ground with a song that fuses the band’s live sound and digital sound.
Ayami, singer of “Brand New World,” has also been in charge of the background song “Apocalypse” for the TV anime Total Eclipse and the ending them “Through All Eternity - Midori no Kizuna” for the TV anime Mushibugyo. Great things are expected of her as an artist. “Brand New World” as well is a new song written just for this anime. The finished song is a gentle ballad appropriate for the ending.
I new PV has also been released. Used in the video are, or course, scenes from Episode 1 as well as the theme songs. The video gets across the feeling that the anime has been powered up over its predecessor.
Re: Hamatora tells the story of an incident caused by people who possess special powers, called Minimum. It takes place three months after the events of Season 1 which was broadcast between January and March of this year. The anime will reveal mysteries that weren’t explained in the previous season.
