Black Bullet In-Anime Group Tenchu Girls to Release Single

The fictional band Tenchu Girls from the TV anime Black Bullet which began broadcasting in April will be releasing a single. The unit sing the theme song “Future Girl.” The single will be released on July 2.

Tenchu Girls is comprised of female characters from the popular magical girl anime including heroine Enju Aihara. They generated a lot of buzz when they hijacked the anime’s official site for an April Fool’s prank based on the 47 Ronin.

This seven-member unit comprised of Saki Fukasawa, Rika Sasaki, Megumi Nishikiori, Saori Itayama, Kurumi Watanabe, Akina Sawada, and Erika Kaiho sing the anime’s theme song. They have taken on the same name as their group in the anime, Tenchu Girls, and they are already scheduled to perform at upcoming events. Their first performance will take place at “Black Bullet Special Event Early Summer Festival” to be held on May 25 at Akihabara UDX. After that, they will perform during the anison day of “@Jam 2014” to be held on June 1 at Zepp DiverCity. They will attract even more excitement ahead of their single’s release.

The single will release on July 2 as two types. Type A will have an anime jacket and Type B will have an artist jacket. The Type A jacket is a specially drawn illustration by manga artist and Tenchu Girls character designer Takuya Fujima. The Type B jacket is a fun photo of the seven members. The coupling song will be a cover of “Future Girl” sung by Enju Aihara (Rina Hidaka) and Tina Sprout (Tomoyo Kurosawa). The price of the single is 1,200 yen (excluding tax).
