New information has been announced regarding the two-person unit MimimemeMIMI comprised of singer/songwriter Yuka and illustrator Chamooi. The group’s new song “Say-You” will tie in with the game Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea. “Say-You” is a heartrending medium-tempo tune about facing yourself once more. It was produced by Architect who created the lyrics and composition of the ending theme to the TV anime Captain Earth, “Amethyst.”
Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea is the newest game in the Atelier series which began in 1997. Because Atelier is a popular series that has sold over 1.6 million copies, it’s likely that this tie in will generate quite the buzz. The song “Say-You” will be used in the game as a special event theme, and it expresses the world of the series. The release date for “Say-You” is still undetermined, so look forward to more information to come. Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea will be released in Japan on June 26.
MimimemeMIMI are also preparing themselves for many upcoming events. To start with, the single for “Sayonara Usotsuki,” the opening theme to the TV anime Blade & Soul, will release on May 28. The anime size version of the song is currently available on Animero Mix and Music.jp. MimimemeMIMI will then hold their concert “MimimemeMIMI 1st Live ‘Welcome to MimimemeLAND’” on June 22. Up until now, the members of MimimemeMIMI have been active without ever showing their faces. We wonder how these girls’ condensed world of music and illustrations will be expressed live. General tickets to the concert went on sale April 26.
