KEI Specially Creates Lovely, Whimsical Miku Poster for Hatsune Miku Expo in New York!

Hatsune Miku Expo is a comprehensive event started in 2014 that transmits to the world the culture of creating with Hatsune Miku. Fifteen thousand people attended the Indonesia performance in May 2014, and 30,000 in total attended the U.S. performances held in October of the same year in Los Angeles and New York. The event has succeeded in exemplifying Miku’s strong presence as Japan’s first Vocaloid.

Meanwhile, the newest Hatsune Miku live Blu-ray and DVD set featuring the entire highly praised New York performance at Hatsune Miku Expo in New York will be released on July 31, and this will include as a special first-come manufacturer bonus exclusive to purchasers a clear poster drawn just for the occasion by KEI. This illustration with Miku turning toward the viewer at the center and a night scene spread out behind has now been released.

The NY performance turned into a melting pot of excitement among the gathered fans. The setlist included songs performed for the first time at a concert, beginning with the theme song “Sharing the World,” with the lineup including, of course, songs sung in English by Hatsune Miku, and her most popular hits. With ample use of large screen projections, this stadium performance was filled with highlights. Recorded in 5.1-channel audio, you can enjoy feeling like you are right there at the concert.

The package art of the Blu-ray and DVD is an illustration by apapico who was in charge of the main visual for both the LA and NY performances.

The First Limited Edition Blu-ray (8,800 yen + tax) includes as a bonus a 7-inch record single. Included is an all-English version of “Glass Wall” performed during the opening act of Lady Gaga’s live tour, in addition to “Sharing the World.” Also included is a 16-page record-size booklet (180 x 180 mm), and a newly released documentary including footage from the exhibit events in LA and NY and interviews with fans that will likely give viewers a sense of the Miku phenomenon in the U.S.

If that wasn’t enough, fans can download for free live mp3 tracks for “Sharing the World” and “Glass Wall” through an exclusive app using the Sonoca download card included as an additional bonus. For those who don’t have a record player, they can enjoy these instead.
