The official Sailor Moon fan club established in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (known in full as “Pretty Guardians 2016-2017, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Official Fan Club”), will be accepting a limited quantity of membership registrations for overseas fans.
The Sailor Moon franchise has gained longstanding global popularity with the TV anime series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon broadcasted in over 50 countries and the manga series translated into over 30 languages. The opening of the official fan club to overseas fans marks a long-awaited start for fans around the world.
In Japan, very few fans clubs exist which are not of an artist or group but an anime or manga series, and ones that accept members from overseas are rarer still. In this extremely rare case, fan club registrations will be open to 38 countries in total, including the United States, France, and China, to name a few.
Ever since the spectacular event commemmorating the launch of “Pretty Guardians 2016-2017, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Official Fan Club” took place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on April 10 earlier this year, fans residing overseas have voiced their strong desire to be able to join the fan club as well.
The overseas edition of the fan club will feature services and priviledges almost identical to those of the Japanese fan club. (A portion of services will not be available.)
In addition, to celebrate the launch of membership registrations for overseas fan, registrations will be re-opening in Japan as well to a limited number of applicants. Highly coveted copies of authentic artwork and full-color prints from the series are also scheduled to be available for purchase exlcusively to fan club members. Those who previously missed their chance to register will not want to miss this opportunity!
Registrations open on Friday, September 23, 2016.
Both overseas and domestic registrations will close once quantities are full.
