Halloween jack-o-lantern art themed after the popular Nintendo game Luigi’s Mansion titled “Luigi’s Mansion Pumpkin” is currently trending on Twitter.

The pumpkin is the creation of American artist ceemdee and was uploaded to DeviantArt in 2013. After sharing it on Twitter earlier this month, the post blew up in an instant.

“Luigi, behind you!” - a perfect item for Halloween

Halloween, Oct. 31, was originally a day to celebrate the autumn harvest, and in recent years the holiday has even permeated into Japan. It was established primarily in America with the custom of children dressing up in costume and going around their neighborhood asking for candy.

“Luigi’s Mansion Pumpkin” features Luigi carved into the front of the pumpkin and ghost character Boo carved into the back, and when illuminated from within it looks like Boo is floating behind Luigi.

The pumpkin magnificently expresses the world of Luigi’s Mansion, an action game in which a timid Luigi is sent to a haunted house rife with strange phenomena to exterminate Boos.

Ceemdee also has pumpkin art of a variety of other characters on her DeviantArt account including the enemy character Creeper from the popular game Minecraft, package art of masterpiece games including ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, and characters from anime too.
