Tokyo Otaku Mode fans participated in a special event at Anime Expo 2015. A new experiment by TOM. A challenge.
Utilizing resources from both Tokyo and Los Angeles, TOM created the first ever Hunt for TOM game. Eagle-eyed attendees of AX had to catch an official TOM shinobi wearing an article of clothing with the TOM logo on it. The attendee then had to approach the TOM member and mention the Hunt for TOM game. Winners received a random coupon card that could be used on the TOM Premium Shop. A very small handful of those winners received a coupon worth $100, and one super lucky winner received the grand prize of $200!

TOM: What kind of things do you like on TOM’s website?

TOM: What do you want to get on Tokyo Otaku Mode?
Fan 2: Um, I don’t know. It’s really up in the air, but I know you guys have some awesome Eva products.
TOM: How did you find out about this game?
Fan 3: I found out through Facebook. I follow you guys on Facebook, and was like, “Cool. This ought to be a good game.”
TOM: What is your favorite thing to see on (TOM’s) Facebook other than girls in sexy cosplay?”
Fan 3: (Laughs) I like seeing your news stuff, too. All the artwork and everything.
TOM: Your name again was Victor? Well, Victor, I want to say it is a VICTORY for you today, because out of all the people who have won, only you today have won the $100 gift certificate for Tokyo Otaku Moooooooooode!”
