Ryohei Suzuki transforms into Takeo Gouda - My Love Story!! poster visual and special report revealed
The movie My Love Story!! releases Japan-wide on Oct. 31, 2015. My Love Story!! is a popular manga currently serialized in Bessatsu Margaret (Shueisha) that was adapted into a TV anime with good ratings produced by Madhouse. The protagonist, Takeo Gouda is a giant of 2 meters with an estimated body weight of 120 kilograms. Takeo flips the standard shojo manga hero archetype on its head, and this has garnered the series even more attention than before. There is also buzz for the live-action movie being brought to fruition. Another point of attention is the devoted performance of popular actor Ryohei Suzuki, who stood up to the role by gaining more body weight.
The visuals of this highly expected piece were recently unveiled: One is a poster visual that Takeo Gouda (played by Ryohei Suzuki) occupies most of, the other is a special trailer, both allowing a peek into the world of the movie. The 30-second trailer shows everything from a sports battle to a pure-looking Rinko Yamato (played by Mei Nagano) in love. It gives full view into the enthusiastic performance of the 32-year-old Ryohei Suzuki, who managed to wholly become the peculiar high school student who doesn’t resemble one at all.
The trailer also features the ikemen friend of Takeo, who is played by Kentaro Sakaguchi. You can check out Sakaguchi’s pleasant body, who is a popular model of the magazine Men’s Non-No, too. The trailer can be viewed on the official website, and the poster will be featured in movie theaters across Japan from July 18.
The production of the movie is making excellent progress. Although the shooting took a whole month, the filming concluded without incident on June 26. Ryohei Suzuki’s first attempt at the romance comedy genre is sure to blow away Japan this fall.
