The TV anime Blood Blockade Battlefront will begin broadcasting on MBS, Tokyo MX, and BS11 this April. At this time, new cast members have been announced. Along with this, a second PV that shows new cuts from the anime was also released, showing that things are picking up for the upcoming broadcasting.
First up, voicing main character Leonard’s younger sister, Michella, is Nana Mizuki. How will she play this obstinately sweet-hearted girl? Voicing Vivian, a manager of a diner in Jerusalem's Lot, is Miyuki Sawashiro and her father, the silent Master of the diner, is being voiced by Riki Kagami. These three characters will appear in the first episode.
The anime has a spectacular voice cast that includes Rikiya Koyama as main character Klaus, Daisuke Sakaguchi as Leonard, and Kazuya Nakai as Zap. The dialogue between these cast members will be another highlight of the anime.
In other news, a second promotional video featuring tons of new cuts from the anime has been released. Now fans everywhere can enjoy this video that sparked such huge response when it was screened in advance at a talk event. The video features music from the anime by composer Taisei Iwasaki, break-neck action, and unique characters. The end result is a video that will stir fans’ anticipation.
Blood Blockade Battlefront is a new type of battle action manga currently serializing in Jump SQ.19 (published by Shueisha). The manga was created by Yasuhiro Nightow who is well known for such huge hits as Trigun, and its unique characters and subtle psychological drama gained it popularity. Directing the anime is Rie Matsumoto who worked on Kyosogiga and the PreCure series at Toei Animation. Producing the animation is Bones.
