BEATLESS (author: Satoshi Hase / character designer: redjuice) is a sci-fi novel that is still gathering attention for having been nominated for the 34th Nihon SF Taisho Award. The creation collection BEATLESS: Tool for the Outsourcers by redjuice, who is in charge of the illustrations for the novel, will be released on June 25. This limited edition book that will fully include the charms of BEATLESS is available now for pre-order on the Tokyo Otaku Mode Premium Shop.
Included with BEATLESS: Tool for the Outsourcers is a compilation CD titled BEATLESS - Give Me the Beat - Produced by kz (livetune) which, as can be seen from the name, is produced by popular musician kz (livetune). A video has been released that gives fans a chance to have a trial listen to this CD. kz, an artist celebrated for his song used in a Google Chrome commercial, carefully selected up-and-coming creators for this work and created sounds rich with the world of BEATLESS. Participating are high-level musicians who are both popular and talented including NIRGILIS, fazerock, and y0c1e.
Also, in celebration of this release, an event will be held at 2.5D (Shibuya, Tokyo) with performances by redjuice, kz (livetune), Satoshi Hase, and Tsuyoshi Kusano, who worked on the designs for BEATLESS: Tool for the Outsourcers! In addition to a discussion with these four creators, there will be live DJ performances by kz (livetune), NIRGILIS, Seiho, and y0c1e. Furthermore, redjuice will collaborate with the musicians through a live painting. It will be a showcase that fuses music and illustration. There will also be an area selling limited goods, as well as a signing with redjuice, kz, and Satoshi Hase limited only to those who purchase BEATLESS: Tool for the Outsourcers. This is an irresistible event for diehard BEATLESS fans and fans of music and illustration alike, so definitely attend if you can and experience the passion.
A live streaming of the event will also take place on the 2.5D site. Those who can’t make it to the event can still get a taste for the atmosphere by watching it online!
