The eBook Awards 2014 Executive Committee, which was largely formed by the book and comic information site Da Vinci News, announced on March 30 from totals taken from sales data over the past year from 21 ebook stores that No. 1 ranked bestselling comic Attack on Titan (Hajime Isayama / Kodansha) was chosen to win the eBook Grand Prize, an award that proved to be very popular last year.
Just like last year’s ranking, this year’s top spots include TV anime, drama, movies, and other media tie-in works. Also, within the top 10 of the overall ranking, seven of the works are comics, which shows the growing popularity of comics in the ebook market.
Aside from the overall ranking, there were rankings encompassing seven different areas including novels, light novels, comics. Shining at the No. 1 spot on the light novel ranking was The Devil is a Part-Timer! (Satoshi Wagahara / Kadokawa, ASCII Media Works).
