Kill la Kill Exhibit Opens in Osaka and Fukuoka, World’s Only Two Scissor Blades on Display

The school battle anime Kill la Kill which started in October 2013 is a buzzworthy work that has become popular due to its break-neck pace. An exhibit and mini gallery for this series are now being held. Spanning about one month, the exhibit in Osaka, titled “Kill la Kill Exhibit in Gee Store Osaka Annex,” and the mini gallery in Fukuoka, titled “Kill la Kill Mini Gallery in Gee Store Fukuoka,” began on March 8 and will run until April 6. Each event is free to enter.

At the exhibit and mini gallery are a lineup of important production documents that can’t normally be seen, such as anime screenshots, art boards, original drawings, storyboards, concept art, and more. Because the show makes fans boil over with its showy action, they are likely to be deeply interested in this exhibit of materials that allows them a peek at the production process.

Also, the official Scissor Blade replica, of which there are only two in the world, is not to be missed. This is a life-size replica of the important item depicted in the key visuals that has been perfectly recreated down to its deep crimson color and scissor-like form. Photography is also allowed, so fans can take pictures with it to remember the occasion.

Many goods will also be sold in advance at the events. Available March 14 are the “Matoi Ryūko Glass” and “Honnouji Academy Student Council Glass,” and available March 22 are the “Kill la Kill Long Sleeve T-Shirt,” “Honnouji Academy Silicone Pass Case,” and “Senketsu Tenjiku Parka.” A full lineup of items, from accessories to attire, will be on hand. Of course, there will also be many other items for sale in addition to those being sold in advance. Those who spend more than ¥1,000 on related goods will receive a not-for-sale original postcard as a present. These will cease being given out once quantities run out. Savor the world of Kill la Kill through exhibits and goods at these two events.
