CD Single for Theme Song to Anime Sakura Trick to Release in January

The TV anime Sakura Trick will begin airing late night on Jan. 9. The anime’s opening and ending themes have now been announced. Furthermore, the CD single for these themes will release on Jan. 29. The opening theme is “Won Chu Kiss Me!” (lyrics: Funta3 / composition and arrangement: Funta7), and the ending theme is “Kiss (and) Love” (lyrics and arrangement: Funta7 / composition: Funta3). The songs are being sung by the character unit named after the anime.

The character unit Sakura Trick is comprised of Haruka Takayama (CV: Haruka Tomatsu), Yū Sonoda (CV: Yuka Iguchi), Kotone Noda (CV: Aisaka Yūka), Shizuku Minami (CV: Hiromi Igarashi), Kaede Ikeno (CV: Mai Fuchigami), and Yuzu Iizuka (CV: Megumi Toda). The group is a fusion of the world of the anime and the world of the theme songs. The songs drag out the full extent of each character’s charm.

There is also news regarding the ending theme that fans are happy about. Two versions of “Kiss (and) Love” are being developed. One version will be sung by Haruka Takayama and Yū Sonoda and the other, titled “Kiss (and) Love ST Ver.,” will be sung by the six members of Sakura Trick. The CD single will also include karaoke versions of both “Won Chu Kiss Me!” and “Kiss (and) Love” for a total of five songs.

The original work for Sakura Trick is a manga of the same name written by Tachi that is currently serialized in Manga Time Kirara Miracle. Currently, three individual volumes of the manga have been published. The story depicts the fun adolescence of close friends Haruka Takayama and Yū Sonoda who attend a high school that will be closing in three years. In addition to those who make up the vocal unit Sakura Trick, other members of the cast include Saki Fujita as Mitsuki Sonoda, Momo Asakura as Sumi Otokawa, and Yurika Endō as Rina Sakai. These members are highlights as well.

Studio Deen is producing the animation and Dax Production is creating the sounds. Staff include Kenichi Ishigura is the director and series composer, Kyūta Sakai as the character designer, Ryōsuke Nakanishi as the music director, and Satoki Iida as the sound director.
