The anime Robot Girls Z will begin broadcasting in January 2014 on Toei Channel. This unique work will show Go Nagai’s original works Mazinger Z (which began broadcasting 41 years ago), Great Mazinger, and UFO Robot Grendizer as bishoujo characters.

In July, way before the start of the broadcast, a mini episode was distributed on the anime’s official site, as well as on Nico Nico Douga and YouTube. The episode gathered tremendous support, breaking through 260,000 views in just three days.

It has now been decided that a special program called It’s a Celebration Special for the Robot Girls Z TV Anime! will be distributed on Nico Nico Live. This program will be broadcast on Oct. 17 at 7:00 p.m. (JST). The show will feature appearances from three members of the cast who make up Team Z: Mariko Honda who plays Mazinger Z (Z-chan), Inori Minase who plays Great Mazinger (Gre-chan), and Kazusa Aranami who plays Grendizer (Grenda-san).

Furthermore, the cast of Toei Robot Girls, which features bishoujo versions of characters from Gaiking, Magne Robo Gakeen, Chojin Sentai Barattack, and Planet Robo Danguard Ace will also be participating. Representing Team T will be Kaori Takaoka who plays Gaiking (Gai-chan), Satomi Sato who plays Gakeen (Gacky), Ayumi Tsuji who plays Barattack (Bara-tan), and Chiharu Kitaoka who plays Danguard Ace (Dandan).

Other than these appearances, the first two minutes of Episode 1 will be screened and the theme song will be performed for the first time. Expect a dream collaboration between Team Z and Team T.
