The second season to Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (known as Oreimo for short) has begun.
Oreimo began as a light novel series by Tsukasa Fushimi. The series is an adolescent comedy that follows Kyosuke Kousaka, an average male high schooler who finds out that his sister Kirino, a beautiful girl who works as a model, gets excellent grades, and is an all around girly girl, is a closet otaku who is in love with anime and eroge games.
Before the second season began, various promotional events took place. On such event, titled
“Anime ‘Oreimo’ New Party Formation Conference,” occurred on March 17 in Akihabara at the convention “Dengeki Games Thanksgiving 2013 & Dengeki Bunko Spring Festival.” The event featured a discussion with the cast and the release of a promotional video for the second season’s theme song “Reunion,” which is sung by ClariS. The discussion divulged new information and developments regarding the series.
Furthermore, a collaborative version of the Chiba monorail, which is well known by the residents of Chiba, that has been covered with characters from Oreimo is now in service. A new game for the series titled Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai: Happy Ending has also been announced by Namco Bandai Games for the PlayStation 3.
