It has been announced that the movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods will also begin screening in IMAX digital theaters when it is released on March 30, 2013. IMAX digital theaters feature a humongous screen that ups the visual intensity and enjoyment of movies. This marks the first time for such a case to occur in Japan.
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is the first movie in the Dragon Ball series in 17 years. The movie is set in the decade following Son Goku’s battle with Majin Boo. In addition to creating the scenario of the movie, Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, also wrote an entirely original story. The movie depicts the intense battle between Son Goku and friends and Bills, a powerful god of destruction.
