About Me

Nakano

Illustrator / Japan

I’m currently active as a freelance illustrator. I enjoy the vibe of “Japan’s good old days” and cute things. I’ve drawn many young guys and girls in school uniforms and sailor school uniforms respectively with a colorful pop vibe. From here on, I plan to participate in events within Tokyo.

    Q&A

    How did you begin drawing?

I’ve enjoyed drawing since around the time I was a young child. Several years ago, I aspired to work as an illustrator and began studying art at school.

What are you picky about in your work?

I’m picky about being able to express the world I want seen in the constraints of the frame.

How long does your work take to complete?

If it is a less complex work about 1-3 days.
The most time I spend is a month or more.

When do you come up with ideas for your work?

When I look at works by the artists I admire, there are many times I’m inspired and an idea comes to mind. Music and writing can also have the same effect.
