Naoto Fuuga (風雅 なおと, September 17) is a male Japanese singer who was born in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture. He now Lives in Nerima, Tokyo.

History

Naoto Fuuga worked as a studio musician and music instructor while studying at Musashi University. He performed as a back-up vocalist for various acts such as Itsuki Hiroshi, Ishigawa Sayuri, Hikaru GENJI, Shounentai, and Tahara Toshihiko. He was involved in various anime, commercials, and special music videos as a vocalist or back-up vocalist. His work encompasses a wide range from image albums of BL series to children's works such as “Hakken Taiken Daisuki! Shimajiro.” He also worked as a voice actor for the Japanese version of Disney's “Cinderella.”

He is the voice provider for the singing voice synthesis VOCALOID software released in 2006, “KAITO.”

“Hikyou Sentai Urotanda” (卑怯戦隊うろたんだー), an album created using KAITO was uploaded to Nico Nico Douga. This album was then covered by Naoto Fuuga. The album was released on the label LOiD and reached 11th place on the Oricon album daily chart. One of the songs on the album, Kokuu Senshi Maji Spider (虚空戦士マジスパイダー), became the theme song for the soup curry store Magic Spice. Naoto Fuuga himself appears in the store’s music video.

On April 2009, his single “Sennen no Dokusouka” (千年の独奏歌) was announced at LOiD RADiO # 2. The CD was released on July 1st of the same year. It was his first independent single. It reached 12th place on Oricon’s daily chart and 35th place on the weekly chart.

“Cantalella ver. Naoto Fuuga & Milia” (カンタレラ　ver. 風雅なおと・Milia) uploaded to Nico Nico Douga on October 20, 2014, won the top category ranking. “Cantalera” was written and arranged by Kurosa P, and the original song was sung by KAITO.

Personal life

His real name and age are undisclosed. The stage name “Naoto Fuuga” comes from “風雅な音,” literally “Refined Sound”. His hobby is gardening and he scours internet auctions to bid on plants. When asked about a fan about his past work, he said: “It’s probably on Wikipedia.”

He loves cats and cared for three of them: Hina-chan (♂, died 2011 spring), Minnie-chan(♀) and Maru-chan (♂, died fall 2014).

From 2014 onward, he has been live-streaming on TwistCasting and uploading Karaoke videos on Joysound’s Utasuki.
