Superman is a fictional superhero that appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. He was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, and his first-ever appearance was in Action Comics #1 in June 1938. Since that first release all those years ago, Superman has been adapted to several other forms of media such as radio serials, novels, television series, movies, and more. His story begins on planet Krypton, where he was named Kal-El at birth. As a last-ditch effort to save their baby’s life, his parents sent him to Earth in a spaceship before Krypton was destroyed. This Nendoroid figure of Superman features him as he appears in the popular film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He stands at approximately 3.9” tall and includes a ton of detail. Superman: Injustice Gods Among Us Figure
This figure of the Injustice Gods Among Us version of Superman stands at approximately 6.3” tall. Despite the small size this figure is absolutely packed full of detail. The colors of his outfit are only the deepest of hues, true to the original. His expression is captivating, with two different head pieces included with purchase. One head piece features a neutral expression while the other features a yelling expression using his heat vision. His cape flowing behind him creates a very dynamic appearance that looks as if he were frozen in time. His muscles are carefully and professionally sculpted beneath his suit, a great rendition of the original. This figure comes pre-painted along with two alternative hand pieces.

Superman Series Story
After the destruction of his planet, Krypton, Superman is discovered by farmers Jonathan and Martha Kent, who adopted him and named him Clark Kent. As he grows up, Clark gains various superhuman abilities such as super strength, impervious skin, and heat vision. His foster parents willed for him to use his abilities for the benefit of humanity, so he became a vigilante with a second identity with the alias “Superman”. He fights crime in the fictional city of Metropolis, all the while working as a journalist during the day.

Superman was created with the creative genius of both Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Both men were heavily influenced by science fiction and adventure magazines, and many of their ideas of Superman were based on what they had read. After the initial publication of the first Action Comics In 1938, Superman’s popularity soared beyond all expectations. Today he has had a larger cultural impact globally than any superhero. In fact, he is often thought of as the first superhero. Superman’s success as a character jump-started the creation of other popular superheroes today. Characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Captain America, and many others have Superman to thank for paving their way to greatness.
