Evangelion Lego and Toys

The Evangelion franchise has a wide range of merchandise. From fully detailed action figures to cute character toys. Here are a variety of different Evangelion toys that would be popular for all ages and fans.

Evangelion Nanoblock

Nanoblocks is a line of lego-like construction toys manufactured by a toy company, Kawada that is based in Tokyo, Japan. Nanoblocks are smaller in size than lego blocks and have a different method of connecting each block together. Nanoblocks use a dividing flange design, rather than the Lego’s tube design.

Here are some examples of their lineup.

• Nanoblock Evangelion Unit-01
  A 370 piece Nanoblock set that creates the legendary Evangelion Unit-01 piloted by Shinji Ikari in the original anime and Evangelion movies. The Nanoblocks are recreated with Unit 01’s iconic purple color and the finished product comes with the whole Unit 01 figure including Eva armor such as shoulder pylons. Also, the completed figure can be adjusted into various poses using movable arm and leg joints. The set is Level 3 on the Nanoblock difficulty level.

• Nanoblock (Mini Nano) Evangelion 6 Piece Set
  A set of 6 different characters from the Evangelion franchise to create using mini Nanoblocks. The set includes the three main Evangelion pilots, Shinji, Asuka and Rei in their plugsuits. Also a miniature purple colored Evangelion Unit 01. Lastly the set is complete with two enemy Angels from the original anime series, the diamond shaped 5th Angel Ramiel, and the 3rd Angel Sachiel. Sachiel was the first Angel that protagonist Shinji Ikari faced in the series. For each character there are approximately 70 Nanoblocks

Evangelion Nendoroid

Nendoroids are a series of plastic figures created and manufactured by the Good Smile Company in Japan. The company was established in 2006 and focuses on making plastic nendoroids for various anime, manga and video games. Similar to a Funko Pop, the Nendoroid character’s head is big in comparison to its body. A popular toy for it’s cuteness, and also the ability to interchange faces and body parts, letting owners explore a variety of different expressions and poses.

Here are some examples of their lineup.

• Nendoroid Shinji Ikari
  To promote the new releases of the Rebuild of Evangelion movies, Good Smile Company has scheduled to release a new lineup of Evangelion Nendoroids. Nendoroid Shinji Ikari is dressed in his school uniform and comes with three face plate expressions. In addition it comes with accessories such as a bag, backpack and portable music player and a Tokyo-3 rubble base. The owner can recreate Shinji’s iconic scenes from the original anime series.

• Nendoroid Rei Ayanami
  Another Nendoroid from a lineup made to promote the new Evangelion Rebuild movies is Nendoroid Rei Ayanami. Rei is dressed in her school uniform and also comes with three face plate expressions. Her accessories include a bag and a rag & bucket set with kneeling leg parts, that allows the owner to recreate scenes of when Rei is in school. Also an eye patch and bandage parts are included to recreate Rei when she is injured during battle against the Angels so many times in the anime series.

Evangelion Kuma Mate Bears

Kuma Mate Bears are a lineup of soft cuddly teddy bears made by Movic, a Japanese company that specializes in anime industry goods such as trading cards, figures etc. Movic is also a subsidiary of the Animate Store group. Movic has release a new lineup of bears to promote the new Evangelion Rebuild movie releases.

• Kuma Mate Mascot Bears
  This lineup of bears are 14cm in height and specially colored to the same colors of the Evangelion Units. The Evangelion Unit 01 version is purple with green ears, hands and feet. The Evangelion Unit 02 version is red with yellow ears, hands and feet. The Mark 6 version is blue with yellow ears, hands and feet. Each bear has the number of its Unit printed on it’s foot respectively.

• Kuma Mate Miniature Costume Bears
  This lineup of bears are approximately 14cm and are all the same color. However there are a variety of versions that comes with an extra plugsuit costume to put on the bear. The wearable bear costumes come in 5 different varieties. The plugsuit of Shinji, Asuka, Rei, Kaworu and Mari from the Evangelion Rebuild movies. In addition, a special Misato Katsuragi and Asuka casual clothing with eye patch version is available.

Evangelion Racing 1/64 Mini Car Evangelion Unit 01 X Works GTR

In 2019, a special racing event called the 2019 Evangelion Racing 2019 GT was held to promote the new Evangelion Rebuild movies. This Evangelion Racing Nissan GTR is the exact miniature copy of the GTR that raced in the event at 1/64 the size. Including all the genuine decals and accessories as the real GTR, it also includes decals of AAPE BY A BATHING APE, a collaborative sponsor of the car.
