Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You Releases First Theatrical Trailer!

Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You! is set to open at cinemas across Japan from July 15, but keen moviegoers will get an advance chance to witness some of the action with an all new trailer screening in theatres from March 4.

I Choose You! is part of the celebration surrounding the franchise’s 20th anniversary and explores the growth of the relationship between Ash and Pikachu right from their first meeting. The movie isn’t an attempt to “remake” the classic TV series but aims tell the original story with a little more flair. Right at the end of the trailer you can catch a glimpse of classic Pokémon Ho-Oh who is also featured in some of the publicity stills released alongside the trailer.
