Bonus-Packed Blood Blockade Battlefront Blu-ray Box Announced!

The Blood Blockade Battlefront Blu-ray box will be going on sale on June 21! It will include the episodes from the April 2015 anime as well as new illustrations, a newly recorded drama CD, and other wonderful bonuses.

Blood Blockade Battlefront is a dynamic battle action comic by Nightow Yasuhiro, also known for Trigun. This series is set in Hellsalem’s Lot, formerly New York. An organization called Libra consisting of superpowered members protects the world’s balance, which is thrown off by its complicated ties to the mysterious Alter-World. Protagonist Leo, a normal boy, suddenly becomes a member of Libra. The original manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Comics, and the first 12-episode anime season aired in April 2015.

The Blu-ray box features a three-sided outer case with art by Nightow Yasuhiro, and the four-sided Digipak features specially designed artwork by character designer and animation supervisor Kawamoto Toshihiro that features a variety of characters. The newly recorded drama CD Perigee Full Moon that was announced at the Libra Japan Branch Welcome Party on Oct. 4, 2015 has also been included as an audio bonus. Fans will also receive a recording script booklet for Perigee Full Moon and a Perigee Full Moon situation visual illustration card. The seven incredible discs also include a creditless version of episode 1, “Secret Society of the Magic-Sealed City,” and the special episode 10.5, “Even These Are the Best and the Worst Days Ever.”

The new series fans have been long awaiting titled Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond will also be airing this year.
