Tokyo Solamachi and Doraemon have teamed up to celebrate the release of Doraemon the Movie 2017: Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi in style! There's an amazing variety of events planned that are sure to thrill fans, like an ice skating rink, a pop-up cafe, the opportunity to experience the Anywhere Door using VR, and so much more!
One of the events that's kicking off the celebrations is a collaboration with the ice skating rink in the Sky Arena on the fourth floor of Tokyo Skytree. Visitors can take commemorative photos at photo spots, including one featuring the Anywhere Door and one with Doraemon wearing the "Polar Expedition Suit" secret tool from the movie. Doraemon himself will be making an appearance on Feb. 5 and 26, and there will also be a high-five event!
The pop-up cafe Doraemon Kachi Kochi Cafe also opens on Feb. 4. Not only does this cafe immerse visitors in the world of the movie, but there's also an original menu that's only available here. From Feb. 20 visitors can experience the Anywhere Door VR Experience event. By putting on VR goggles and using the simulator, you can experience a different world every time you open the Anywhere Door!
Doraemon the Movie 2017: Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi will have a Japan-wide roadshow release on March 4.
