The 2nd season of Shingeki no Kyojin was recently revealed to be airing from Apr. 2017, a long wait for its eager fans. However, there's been a PV revealed to enjoy in the meantime!
Shingeki no Kyojin is a manga by Isayama Hajime, serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. First released in 2009, it went on to take 1st place in Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi ranking in 2010 and the Kodansha Manga Award in 2011. The anime adaptation’s 1st season then aired in 2013 from April through September.
The PV released for season 2 is just over a minute and a half, and in addition to a battle scene against the new Beast Titan, you also get to see more of the vertical maneuvering equipment and fast-paced action the series is known for.
Season 1 will also go on sale on Blu-ray and as a DVD boxset on Mar. 15, right before season 2 airs. The box set includes all of season 1, as well as a few bonuses: Shingeki no Kyojin: Vol. 0 (which came with the BD and DVD sets of season 1 from 2013), the special full-color comic that came with volume 5, and the huge visual novels that came with volume 3 and 6. All 25 episodes of Shingeki no Kyojin: Chimi Chara Gekijou: Tondeke! Kunren Heidan will also be included.
And on top of this, it will all be accompanied by a full-color special booklet. The box set illustration was also specially illustrated by the anime character designer Asano Kyoji. The price for the Blu-ray and DVD versions is 35,000 yen (before tax).
Shingeki no Kyojin will be coming to life again 4 long years after season 1's broadcast - so it'll be a must-see for everyone in 2017!
