DMM.com and Opalus performer Ladybeard have launched a new crowdfunding campaign titled “Ladybeard is Kawaii-Core!!” through Kickstarter to fund the production of new songs and music videos!

Ever since arriving from Australia in the autumn of 2013, Ladybeard’s cute (?) persona has somehow become mysteriously soothing. A pro-wrestler and heavy metal singer among other means of entertainment, Ladybeard has proved a hit in each city he’s performed. In 2015, he released his first single as a member of the idol band Ladybaby, “Nippon Manju,” the video of which gained over 10 million views in its first four months. Aside from his activities in Japan, Ladybeard also performs at anime conventions around the world helping to spread the love of Japanese pop culture. Ladybeard is an iconoclastic idol who’s helping to smash the cute stereotype with a new kind of kawaii. A hit on the internet, TV, and live in person, Ladybeard’s time has come! Sing! Dance! Destroy!!
About the Kickstarter Campaign
The Kickstarter campaign runs from Dec. 5, 2016 to Jan. 11, 2017 and aims to raise US$24,000. Pledge levels begin at $5 and bonuses on offer include music downloads with more impressive physical items available the higher the amount of money pledged. The funds collected from the Kickstarter campaign will be used to produce new songs and music videos.
