Lelouch to Return in Code Geass Sequel

It has been 10 years since the first Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion was aired and the series has garnered a faithful following. After two seasons of the anime, it seemed to have completely ended, and subsequent works in the franchise were spin-offs with new characters.

However, it was announced at the Code Geass 10th anniversary event held in Maihama, Japan on November 27 local time that the one and only Lelouch vi Britannia will be revived in a true sequel to the original run of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. The story will be set a few years after Zero Requiem. It is unclear whether the work will be a TV anime or a film.

In addition, a 3-part movie compilation of the first two seasons of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion has also be announced. The movies will include unaired scenes and voice-over has been completely re-recorded. The first movie will air in January 2017.

Stay tuned for more updates - all hail Britannia!
