■ About the Figures
The Palmate figure series is developed by Megahouse and now home to Ritsu and Rei Sakuma! These idols appear in the 2015 male idol-training social game Ensemble Stars! and are recreated here wearing their in-game costumes in gravure photography-inspired poses.
Ritsu Sakuma looks handsome in his chic, high-class idol costume in black and white. Ritsu is known for loving sleep and being a bit nocturnal, so his sleepy expression suits him well. Details such as his hairstyle and the gold of his shoulders and buttons are carefully done, as well.
Rei Sakuma is captured in his black butler-like suit with a rouge vest in a flattering pose. The bat badge is perfect for the so-called vampire, and that mysterious smile is perfect for a member of the Three Oddballs of the academy.
Each figure fits perfectly on a desk or in your hand, but their posing also makes them ideal for setting up next to each other. If you set Ritsu up next to Palmate Ensemble Stars! Mao Isara (on sale in September), it also looks like the two childhood friends are having a nice chat.

■ About the Palmate Series
Palmate is MegaHouse’s collection of palm-sized figures designed with the idea of bringing the characters closer to you. The figures measure a compact 8 centimeters, and so far Ace of Diamond, Yowamushi Pedal Grande Road, Osomatsu-san, and Tiger & Bunny have all been featured in the lineup. The name perfectly reflects the series’ origins by bringing together the “palm” for palm-sized and “mate” for friend.
■ About Ensemble Stars!
*Ensemble Stars* is an idol-training and producing game which was developed by Happy Elements and released in 2015. It’s set in Yumenosaki Private Academy, an idol-training school for boys. The player takes on the role of the only female student at the academy, chosen as the first student in the producer program to train the 33 idols. It’s been downloaded more than 1.5 million times as of Mar. 2016 and will also have an anime and stage adaptation. There’s also a TV commercial featuring the Kano Sisters.
Ritsu Sakuma (Voice Actor: Daiki Yamashita)
A 2nd year at Yumenosaki Private Academy and member of the idol unit Knights. He’s nocturnal and his hobby is sleeping. He’s focused only on himself and has no interest in anything going on around him. 3rd year student Rei Sakuma is his older brother. He’s very close with his childhood friend Mao Isara who’s in the the same class and calls him “Ma-kun”. His catchphrase is “the sleepy mocking black prince”.
Rei Sakuma (Voice Actor: Toshiki Masuda)
A 3rd year at Yumenosaki Private Academy and member of the idol unit Undead. He has a low tolerance to the sun and feels down when he’s in direct sunlight, so he calls himself a vampire. He has an old-fashioned way of speaking, and knows a lot about the history of the academy. He spent a year studying abroad, so he’s the oldest member of the 3rd year class. He loves his younger brother Ritsu, but the feeling isn’t reciprocated. His catchphrase is “The devil king watching over the black night”.
He, Wataru Hibiki, and Kanata Shinkai are the academy’s Three Oddballs.
