Bakumatsu Rock is an extremely popular series. First released as a game in February 2014, its anime adaptation aired in July of that same year. It was then turned into an “Ultra Musical” in December 2014 by director and screenwriter Kotaro Yoshitani. Fans have enjoyed incredible live performances by the cast who bring the world of Bakumatsu Rock to life, and even get to have fun participating as they wave lights around!
By August 2015, the musical was already being performed again in Tokyo and Osaka, and every performance immediately sold out. A nationwide live viewing was also decided for its final performance.
Now, the second round of character visuals for the upcoming Ultra Musical Bakumatsu Rock Kurofune Raikou, which will be performed in two cities, has been released! New characters! New songs! A new story! Don’t miss out on the new Bakumatsu Rock musical this summer if you happen to be in Japan.
