Overlap to Launch Digital BL Comic Magazine “LiQulle” in January 2016

Overlap, makers of anime, games, light novels, and more, will be launching a digital BL (Boys Love) comic magazine titled LiQulle on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. The magazine is themed after BL, a genre highly popular with females.

Concepted around “different than the usual, sugar x spice,” LiQulle is targeted slightly toward adult women and delivers exciting and unique love stories. The magazine will be updated the last Friday of every other month.

At the time of its launch, the magazine will have gathered popular authors from the realm of BL. It will feature a key visual by Mei Mataaki and serials from popular manga artists. The first issue’s wonderful lineup will feature Yama-koi Buddy (author: Peririko), a story set in the mountains; Otonari-sama wa Goshujin-sama (author: Ano), which is set in a male company dorm; 3-pun Instant no Chinmoku (author: Kimi Ichinashi), which depicts an offbeat cousin romance; Hana to Arashi to Sono Kokoroe (author: Nie), which depicts a romance between moe high school boys; and Fukushu Gimmick Game (author: Mayami), which is about a revenge romance. Other authors who will be joining the magazine include Riko Sakura and Mao Kurosawa.

The magazine will be available online in its entirety or by each work. Ahead of the launch, the official site also has introductions and trial reads of the series to be published in the first issue. LiQulle is shaping up to be a magazine BL fans won’t be able to take their eyes off of.
