Hakuoki SSL - Sweet School Life - The Movie, a live-action adaptation of the popular Hakuoki game series, will be released throughout Japan on Feb. 6, 2016. This time, a trailer has been released for the first time that’s condensed with the movie’s charms. Moreover, performances of a stage adaptation began in Japan on Dec. 11. Advance tickets to the movie are being sold in limited quantities at the theater.
Hakuoki SSL - Sweet School Life is a spin-off to the Hakuoki series. It has a school story that differs from the original series, and it was released as a game in March 2014. A live-action TV drama was subsequently broadcast this September and October.

Performances of the stage play Hakuoki SSL - Sweet School Life - The Stage are on now through Dec. 20 at Theater Sun-mall. The show has a story that’s themed after Christmas. The cast is entirely the same as that of the TV drama and movie. The story also ties in with the others as well, so seeing it first will likely bring more enjoyment to the movie.
Available specially at the theater are advance tickets to the movie that feature an exclusive design of all the cast together in one shot. There are also advance tickets available that come with six photos featuring each of the cast members. These tickets that condense the charms of the cast, beginning with Yuichi Nakamura who plays Hijikata Toshizo, are likely to become popular. Advance tickets cost 1,400 yen and 6,600 yen with the six photos included (both prices include tax).
