“Reflection” Exhibit Presents Works by 70 Creators from DeNA and Partner Companies

Comprehensive exhibit “Reflection” from DeNA and partner companies

For three days from Nov. 13–15, DeNA will hold a comprehensive exhibit titled “Reflection: Creators’ Day Off” at the Design Festa Gallery in Harajuku.

The exhibit will feature a total of 70 voluntary creators from DeNA and partner companies expressing their artistic sense through displaying their personal artworks that differ from the artwork they create for work.

Since 30% of visitors to the Design Festa Gallery Harajuku on a given day are foreigners, the exhibit will transmit the creativity of Japan to both resident and tourist attendees.

One highlight of the exhibit is its large scope in that it will take up the majority of the 1F space of the East and West Halls of Design Festa Gallery Harajuku.

Beginning with DeNA, six companies and one organization including Gloops, Tokyo Otaku Mode, Mugenup, Superflat, Digital Pictures, and Tsukurujyo will exhibit, and there will be works from 70 creators total on display.

The fact that it combines voluntary artists from several companies makes “Reflection” an unusual exhibit. The promoter and chief producer of the exhibit is DeNA UI/UX designer Tomo Tsubota who gave the following comment regarding the exhibit’s background:

“Reflection is a private exhibit for creators. We wanted to be able to make an exhibit where artists could express their personality in a way different from their job. Creators who put their soul into creating products will have their works on display to enjoy. It will definitely be a fun event. If you’d like, please stop by. In a time that stresses individuality, as many anonymous creators as possible will disappear. That is the desire we’ve put into this event.”

If you’re in the area, definitely stop by this exhibit concepted around the idea of reaching a point where there are no more anonymous creators hidden in the shadows of business whose names are unknown to the world.
