A fresh key visual and a version 1.5 promotional video have been posted for the new TV anime Dimension W to begin in January 2016. Moreover, Tokyo MX and BS11 have been confirmed as the broadcast networks, meaning viewers all throughout Japan will be able to enjoy it.
The Dimension W key visual and version 1.5 PV focus on main character Kyoma Mabuchi and heroine Mira Yurizaki. Kyoma is a recovery specialist who earns bounties by snatching away the unlimited energy taken from Coils by criminals. Though competent in ability, Kyoma lost everything in a previous Coil incident and lives his days pessimistically. While on the job he meets Mira, a mysterious girl who lives with Coil developer Dr. Shido Yurizaki.
The video features an action scene of Kyoma fighting with an iron skewer. The character voices of Daisuke Ono as Kyoma and Reina Ueda as Mira are also highlighted, giving a chance to get a feel of the series’ world before the broadcast. The fact that the key visual also shows Kyoma’s car hints at car chases as well. Keep it here for more reports to come.
Dimension W is based on a sci-fi manga by Yuji Iwahara currently serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan. Set in a future where unlimited energy can be harvested from the fourth dimension “W,” the story focuses on recovery specialist Kyoma who deals with criminals illegally using Coil. Directing the anime is Kanta Kamei of Nanana’s Buried Treasure and Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend fame. The animation is being produced jointly by Studio 3Hz and Orange.
