The release of a limited original digital camera themed after Blood Blockade Battlefront may be forthcoming. A Blood Blockade Battlefront digital camera has appeared on the online service Dream Pass which invites contributors to back proposed projects.
The camera’s design incorporates a Blood Blockade Battlefront theme but doesn’t end there: fans can even enjoy the series through the camera’s dynamic photos themselves. However production is limited. The project will only be carried out if 50 or more backers order the camera through Dream Pass. Furthermore, production is capped at a maximum of 220 cameras, making its rarity a striking highlight.
The anime Blood Blockade Battlefront is based on the manga of the same name by Yasuhiro Nightow and began broadcasting this April. After gathering wide popularity, the final episode was broadcast on MBS on Saturday, Oct. 3, and on BS11 on Wednesday, Oct. 7, meaning this announcement has come at the perfect time.
The original camera is based on the silver Casio Exilim EX-ZS30SR and themed after main character Leonardo Watch. It features a laser-etched design of Leonardo’s “All Seeing Eyes of God” ability. Another selling point is its other fastidious details including a portion of the ending visuals being used on the startup screen.
Another highlight to note is its dynamic photo function that creates composite photos that include characters from the series. Character visuals include, of course, main character Leonardo, leader of the secret society Libra Klaus V. Reinherz, and Libra member Zapp Renfro, as well as Chain Sumeragi, Steven A. Starphase, K.K., Gilbert F. Altstein, White, and Black, for a total of 50 characters. A variety of accessories will also be available including an original sleeve with character designs, and a pouch designed with the face of Sonic Speed Monkey.
Orders are being taken on an exclusive Dream Pass site, with the order period being from Wednesday, Oct. 7 to Friday, Nov. 6 at 11:59 p.m. (JST). The camera will be produced if at least 50 orders are received, and the maximum amount to be produced is 220. The camera is priced at 28,000 yen (plus tax and shipping) and will be delivered in mid-December. This is no doubt an item that fans still excited over the finale won’t want to miss out on.
