Even Better Than Last Year’s “Kabe-don”!?

Tokyo Game Show 2015 (TGS) runs from Sept. 17–20, 2015 at Makuhari Messe (Open to industry personnel only on the 17 and 18, open to the public on the 19 and 20). Voltage, which has released numerous love drama and romance apps for smartphones is exhibiting three titles at the show including Hana Yori Dango F4 to First Kiss, Itsuwari no Kimi to Scandal, and Kagami no Naka no Princess Love Palace. This year, Voltage has set up a space that’s set to make your heart beat even faster than last year by building a “3D picture book booth” with various “pages.”

Last year’s Voltage booth at TGS 2014 featured a corner where you could be “kabe-donned” by a good looking guy which caused quite a stir. Even on Gadget News, Kazuya of comedy duo The Tachi who experienced being “kabe-donned” made the deeply witty comment, “It felt like being mugged.”

This time at TGS 2015, other than the 3D picture book booth they’ve set up where the “pages” will set your heart racing with each turn, you’ll also be able to take a commemorative photo with the hot F4 guys who appear in Hana Yori Dango with an AR (augmented reality) camera. On stage, actors Yuki Kaji (voice only on Sept. 19), and Hiro Shimono (Sept. 20) will set your hearts racing by whispering a monologue in the “Tokimeki Renai Talk Show,” and the comedy duo Zabunguru will be the guest MC on the 19 with Hige Danshaku taking over on the 20. Also, F4 will be making their first public appearance as the cast for Hana Yori Dango: The Musical. It’s a really packed programme that fans will need to check out.

In addition, according to the PR department, “Last year’s kabe-don which proved so popular will, of course, be back along with even more impressive acts including: ago kui 1, atama ponpon 2, and techu 3 all from popular idols and other worldly princes, so if you’re seeking a thrill definitely come and check it out.” This year’s event is definitely aiming for a heart-racing experience. There are certain to be a few situations any girl might have been longing for.

Having said that, the techu service - it seems like too much but “the model will kiss his own hand, not the visitor’s hand.” This came as a relief, but perhaps there are some people who are a little disappointed. There will also be a corner in the booth where you can try out some of the games and enjoy the romance apps to your heart’s content. How about dropping by Makuhari Messe this weekend to play some otome games?
